  • American Socialist: Now there isn't one thing there you said that I'd totally disagree with (might quibble on whether the problem lies with big oil/coal or more simply with the reality of our global energy needs and what is required to sustain them) and a couple of things I totally agree with.

  • The issues are really pretty simple. Climate change happens - whether man made, natural or otherwise, it happens. We have a rich history of climate change on earth that proves that to be a simple fact. There was a time of ice age - there will be again.

  • The law itself - in concept - is common sense. However, as written, the idea that someone can just say "well, it was self defense" and as long as there are no other witnesses or contrary information, they can skate free, is the problem. Smith's suggestions....

  • Tom - there are actually people on this site debating as to whether or not 4 feet of hail fell. Reason? The headline is misleading, and the story - while it does point out that these are 4 ft.

  • Oh for cripes sake - the gullibility of some - and the pitiful reporting style surrounding this article - enough to make me cry. They DID NOT get 4 feet of hail. They have areas where HAIL DRIFTS piled up to four feet.
